杨鸣教授，现任中央音乐学院钢琴系主任。兼任中央音乐学院学术委员会及学位委员会委员。国家文化部考评委钢琴组副主任。中国音乐家协会音乐表演著作权学会理事。国家级重点刊物《钢琴艺术》杂志编委。北京高等教育研究会理事。出身于音乐世家，从小就显示出非凡的音乐才华，六岁即在钢琴比赛中得奖。毕业于上海音乐学院，获得学士学位，后在中央音乐学院获得硕士学位，留学于美国克利夫兰音乐学院。 　　 　　     1975年在全国规模最大的一次音乐调演中获得最高荣誉，在北京连续演出几十场的音乐会。并在国家的重要庆典活动中多次表演钢琴独奏。做为中国艺术团成员出访欧洲表演钢琴独奏及伴奏。在1980年“上海之春”全国钢琴比赛中获二等奖，还四次在国际比赛选拔赛上获第一名。曾多次与中央乐团、中国广播交响乐团、中国电影，乐团、北京交响乐团等合作演出钢琴协奏曲，并和欧、美一些国家的音乐家合作演出室内乐音乐会。国际许多艺术节邀请他演出，如法国卡萨尔斯艺术节，俄罗斯的德尔菲艺术节，美国的斯太格艺术节等。曾经在美国南加州大学、马利兰、伊斯曼等十几所音乐学院演出、讲学，受到很高评价。美国杜郎市议会授予他：“杜郎市荣誉市民”，市长亲自向他颁发了城市金钥匙。近年来。为电台、电视台、音像出版社录制了包括古典、浪漫及近现代的几十部钢琴作品。中央电视台经常播放他的钢琴独奏及讲座。录制的中央音乐学院海内外钢琴考级的教学录像带在国内外传播甚广。还担任了许多比赛的评委，如北京中国国际钢琴比赛的初审评委，中法“米多”比赛的副主席、秘书长。香港第二届中国作品钢琴比赛副主任、评委会副主席。第四节柴科夫斯基青少年钢琴比赛组委会委员兼秘书。台北国际肖邦比赛评委。美国吉那巴考娃国际钢琴比赛评委。美国伊斯曼国际钢琴比赛评委。日本李赫特国际钢琴比赛评委出版书籍有《音乐学院附小钢琴教程》。主编《高等音乐 (师范) 院校钢琴分级教程》共六册，作为教材在全国许多大学中被广泛采用。 
Mr. Yang Ming is currently Professor of Piano and Chairman of the Piano Department at Central Conservatory of Music in Beijing, People’s Republic of China. 
He holds a Bachelor of Music degree in Piano from Shanghai Conservatory of Music and a Master of Music Degree in Piano from Central Conservatory of Music. 
Yang Ming showed exceptional talent as a child, winning his first competition at the age of six. He was also highly successful in the 1975 Chinese National Selective Trial, which led to numerous recital performances and appearances in many national ceremonies on behalf of China. 
In 1980 Yang Ming won second prize in “The Spring of Shanghai National Piano Competition" and first prize in four international selective trials. He has appeared as soloist with many preeminent orchestras including Central Orchestra, China Broadcasting Symphony Orchestra, China Film Studio Symphony Orchestra and the Beijing Symphony Orchestra. He has presented solo and chamber music recitals in Europe and the United States as well as china. 
In recent years Yang Ming has recorded widely for radio and television stations and audiovisual publishing houses. His tapes on piano pedagogy have been widely used. As an adjudicator, he has participated in the Second China International Competition of 1999 and the Hong Kong 2000 Second Chinese Works Piano Competition. He has served as vice president and general secretary of the 1999 "Mido" Sino-Francais Heme Competition, vice director of the China Ministry of Culture’s Examination Jury Committee, general secretary of The Fourth International Tchaikovsky Competition for Young Musicians and jury member of the Eighth Chopin Competition in Taipei.
